We both live and work near Chichester in the UK; Richard as a low energy building consultant/project manager (www.thehealthyhome.uk) and Sue in healthcare.
Richard has owned the land on which Casa Isabella is built since 2003 and in 2011 we decided to take a sabbatical in order to restore the cabin in an energy efficient manner and also to revitalise the agriculture on the surrounding land.
In the process we got to know Sicily and its people much better, falling in love not only with the climate, beauty of the countryside and stunning Baroque architecture of Noto, but also with the gentler pace of life and resulting time it gives the locals to prepare and enjoy the delicious food and wine this region is famous for.
We would like to share what this remarkable part of the world has to offer with others and so since March 2013 we have been making it available for holiday rentals when we are not there.
